    This used to be the Clayton Arms a "spit and sawdust" style pub before being redeveloped into a up market bar. as of November 2009 the pub is now shut and looking for new lease holders.

    I don't this is not the old brewery site. The actual site is to the east (where the slug and lettuce is now) the entrance is off the high street. I remember exploring the abandoned buildings. it is also evident that all the new flats built there have brewery related names

    This is an open area of grass with some splendid trees, within the Conservation area of the town. Once, this is the site of a grand house called The Rookery, this is now a green oasis in the town. There are benches on the grass, with views of old yew trees, beeches and pines. This is a remarkably quiet garden, close to the bustle of the town centre, frequented by many birds and squirrels.

    i have stoped going there because the guys behind the counter cant even speak proper english. they dont even know how to run a shop it was much better when it was run by the big chap (waj) and his family.
